Load item directly into the hand?

Some handheld items (like a gun) gives you the option to load them directly into the hand. Some don't.

Is there an easy way to load things directly into the hand when the option is not there?

If not, how do the vendors do to create that option?

Unless the prop was saved that way then no. You can however resave it and use it like that.

You can do it by going to Save As/Support Asset/Figure prop Assets. then load into scene/parent to the hand and save it as Wearable Preset.
