What does this mean "Install Manager cannot find a required path"
I seem to be having problems installing the Gen Importer on my Mac.
I get this.
"Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "DSON Importer for Poser (Mac 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Poser Pro 2014, Pro 2012 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again. "

It means that you have to tell it where on your computer you have installed the Poser .exe file to.
Click the gear (Settings) icon in the upper right corner, go to the Applications tab, and click the + sign in the lower left. Set the Name to Poser and the version and bit depth, and navigate to the folder containing poser.exe or poserpro.exe.
Well Im trying to set up all the content on a network drive plugged into my WiFi.
I Think I had better start over loading Daz Studio, and The Poser Content.
Is there a way to get Daz Studio off manually, it seems to want to default back to the files on the computer.
I Found this
https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/20779763-How-to-remove-DAZ-Studio-4-and-CMS-PC-Old-Method-
But I need a version for a Mac.
Putting content on a wifi shared disk is doomed, bound to fail, like running with scissors, eating random pills found in a trashcan.
Every time the wifi drops for a short period of time, like someone's cell rings, someone starts a microwave owen, the mounted drive will be lost and come back with a new name (an incremented digit at the end of the name). If you mount the drive "DAZBoot" as your network volume with content, you can configure DIM and DS and Poser to locate the files at /Volumes/DAZBoot/. This works for a while ( Random (0.1, 10) Hours, then it's get lost, and remounted, but now as /Volumes/DAZBoot_1/, the old /Volumes/DAZBoot/ is still there, but empty. (Finder handles this by itself tricking you that it is really correctly mounted, but id you look in /Volumes you will see. So, now DS or DIM or Poser can't fins anything as the directory /Volumes/DAZBoot/ is empty (lost).
Ok so what is the solution for storing Poser and Daz files on an external Drive?
I have in the past stored it all on a USB drive that I plunged into the computer? I mean is that the best solution?
I just don't like having all the content on the same computer hard drive.
Go to Settings > Installation, click the + sign in the lower left to add the path you want things installed to, then switch the "Current" location to your new path. Make sure you set DS or Poser or whatever application you use to look at the new location as well.
Ok now Im getting the beach scene but when I try to load Gen 2 Starter Essentials I get this.
Have you installed DSON for your Poser and what Version of Poser are you using?
Where did you install DSON to? You also have to have Poser 9 or above
I installed it to the Poser Pro 2014 folder. It did not work there so I installed it also to the Poser Pro 2012 version where it sort of works.
The DSON Importer should be installed to the Poser application folder.
Well I guess the next question, is how do I get it OUT of Runtime and into the correct application folder?
It needs to go in the runtime folder that is in the same folder as poser.exe (or poserpro.exe)
