When creating a new light i dont see the "shadow" option in Parameters tab

I am new to Daz 3D and i am doing the tutorials, but now i cannot continue because i´m learning a new tutorial based on lights and when i have to change a property of the shadow option, this option doesnt appear in my parameters tab.
I think that my computer is good, but i dont know if this option doesnt appear because of my computer, will he need more hardware to work with shadows? When rendering a image my computer goes very slow. The last image i render needed almost 3 hours to be completed.
My computer:
Windows 7 (64 bits), Intel core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHz
8 Gb RAM
Graphic card NVIDIA GeForce GT 530, Dedicated memory 2048 MB DDR3, Shared memory 2047 MB --> what means total memory of 4095 MB
Thanks for help!!

The Lights have been changed because of Iray.
You will find the Shadow settings under the "Light" tab now, it has no more seperate tab. But Shadow settings will only work if you change the render engine to "3Delight".
I put together some render examples for each of the new lights here:

Also, you need to activate the graphic card in the "Advanced" render settings as render engine.
Though, it might sill be to small to hold the scene, as you just have 2GB VRam on that card (if at all). Recommended is 4GB VRAM as minimum.
EDIT: About shadows, Iray and such: Shadows don't make Iray render times longer. Lights (or not enough lights) can influence render times in Iray.
There are several threads about the topic, that perhaps will answer your question better than I can. :-)

Thank you very much lee_lhs, you have helped me a lot. I will read the threads you suggest to me.
I got the shadow settings as you suggested to me, i went to render settings and i changed render engine in advanced options to 3Delight. I suppose i have to buy a new graphic card. I dont mind buying a new card but im angry because this computer has no more than 2 years :S but if we need that we will have it!
When I bought my PC for rendering (also two years ago), the graphic card was really not a thing to consider; 3Delight rendered with the CPU, and the card just had to run OpenGL... My card is a GTX680, 2 GB, and it's pretty useless for Iray. If I had known in advance, I would've saved up a bit longer, and bought a different card, and a beefier power supply.
Then again, with the experience gathered in the past two years, I would set up the system differently, anyway. :-)
In case you intend to upgrade your system, here's the official DAZ dream team system requirements...

Nothing someone like me can afford, but maybe I can get my hands on used system components at a reasonable price at some point in the not too far away future.
You don't have to buy a new GPU to use Iray - it will work as a CPU renderer, just more slowly (though not slow for what it does). You should certainly be able to use Iray enough to judge how much, if anything, you want to spend on speeding it up.
thanks agains guys,
Very interesting the link you attached "lee_lhs" so i can know what will be the best computer for Daz 3D.
I will test the program as deeper as possible for several months with my computer as Richard says, and later I will value whether it is worth buying a new one.
Greetings!
