Smart Content not showing content

I don't know how it happened, but I was trying to install some third party and somehow the Smart Content is not showing anything.

I've tried to activate the CMS and nothing happened.

I've also tried to uninstall and re-install the program. No such luck.

Any ideas?

If you're on Windows, how did you try to restart the CMS? Did reactivating it not make a difference, or couldn't you get it to reactivate? Sometimes it will stop working on my machine, but I've always been able to get it running again. If you're on a Mac, I really can't help.

Are you using DIM (DAZ Install Manager) to install your DAZ 3D content? Did you upgrade from Valentina/CMS to PostgreSQL using DIM?

How did you try to restart it, and are you using Windows or Mac?

    I'm using Windows 8.1.

I did right click on the Content Library tab and clicked on Start CMS. Nothing happened.

The Content Library did show some things, but not all of them.

And I don't think DIM can install third party things from other websites.

If you are using DIM to install your content, then you must make sure that DAZ Studio knows where it is.

DIM by default installs to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library and that path MUST be listed in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager as BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats so that DS can see the content. DIM and DAZ Studio do not communicate.

Make sure that you have that listed properly, and you should see ALL of your content in the Content Library pane.

When you run DAZ Studio, are there several instances of 'Postgers.exe' running in the Task manager? If not, you are probably still using Valentina/CMS, and you would need to go to Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D, and start CMS from there.

And, yes, DIM can only install DAZ 3D content.
