Lips turned Gray?

I've been learning about the wonderful world of surfaces and materials and somehow the lips on my character turned colorless. There rest of the skin/face is normally mapped. I've checked the Lips section of the Michael 6 surfaces and it seems fine. Is there a way to reset surfaces?

    Just reapply the material again.
Though, if you post the surface settings, it's possible that the problem can be found. Maybe the diffuse map was set to "none"?

Can you post a screen shot of the Lips surface expanded in the Surfaces pane/tab?

I can't figure out what the problem was. My workaround was to save the various adjustments I made to the character and then applied them to a new Michael 6 in a new file. This way I have the right morphs applied to the figure, but with natural lips.
