Hair problems in render and leggings?

I've got three problems here.

a): Black hair has a shine and looks like plastic.
b): hair on the female.
c): The leggings in the screen-crop. The leggings are actually black but turn pink in the render.

Normally I don't have problems with hair in renders but these two seem repeatively problematic, and their not cheaper hair products.
I've no idea what is causing this.
Anyone with any suspicions on the cause?

Render is ds 4.8, 3delight. Black hair and pink legging are the same scene and are using 1 uber environment w/Dawn I believe, one infinite and one specular.
The brown hair is rendered indoors and I believe the only light sources are uber surface for candles and a fireplace.

help greatly appreciated as always.
