"Kids 4 support folder could not be found"

On DAZ 4.8, I've installed Kids 4, the Kids 4 Power Loader, Kids 4 Morphs and Kids 4 Power Loader using the Installation Manager, and going to open the *.cr2 file; I have the error message as above.
I then downloaded everything manually so make sure that it should all be there (I've put it in a folder entitled My Daz 3D Library\People\Kids 4\Content and then upon opening the *.cr2 file, I still have the same error message.
Any help to resolve this issue would be gratefully appreciated.
But here's a couple of questions -
why is this error message typed in this way?
why doesn't it tell you the name of the folder so that you can search for it to see if it's there?
why isn't there an option, like there used to be on the old versions of Daz, to "locate the missing file" so that you can upload it manually? The discontinuation of this function is a VERY backward step.

Have you installed with administrator rights? After installation, a script must be executed. This will fail if you have only restricted rights, and K4 will not work. You can execute the script manually. Go to your content folder.

    For Windows: \Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\DzCreateExPFiles-K4.bat
    For MAC: \Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ\DzCreateExPFiles-K4.command

This is wrong. Kids 4 is in Poser format and has to be in the Runtime folder. With exactly the original folder structure. The installation with DIM is ok, but it seems you have to execute the script manually, as I wrote.

Your manually installed \People\Kids 4\Content folder you can delete, it will not work.

DIM should have installed everything to the correct place. Are you sure that the library where you installed K4 into, is listed as BOTH DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager?

Kids 4 should be installed into the Runtime folder, as it is Poser Content, not in People (nor in a folder called 'Content')

If I were you , I would uninstall everything that you installed by hand, uninstall K4 form DIM, and reinstall it again. I have just checked ibn my DIM, and everything in The Kids 4 Base is installed into the Runtime folder. There is a Base K4 file installed in Runtime\Support which it may be looking for.

Check your preferences to make sure the library names and paths are correct.

Manually executing scripts in a batch file? I haven't done anything like this since the good old days of DOS 5,0
Whatever happened to "plug and play"?
I thought that the idea of Windows was to make life easier for the end-user. With all of the money that you pay for this stuff, you don't expect to have to pay a computer engineer as well :-(

So I ran the batch file, despite the dire warning from Windows, and I had a long text file in a DOS window that scrolled across the screen quicker that ever I could read it - and then it closed.

And that changed not a thing, I'm afraid.

That has done the job for me, but it wasn't as straightforward as that.
It was the word "POSER" that set me off on the track. I had set up the DAZ content in the Content Manager as it ought to be, but I hadn't changed the Poser or Other content to read that directory; and herein lies the confusion.

Thanks very much for your assistance, which was much appreciated.

I'm glad you have solved the problem. And, well, setting the Poser folder in Content Manager is really necessary, otherwise you will not find a lot of your content. ;-)

There is a Base K4 file installed in Runtime\Support which it may be looking for.

The files in Runtime\Support are not necessary for a product to work properly. They only contain the Metadata for import in the CMS for the Smart Content tab and are not asked by any other file from the product itself.
