Yes, it's me back again. Having been a user of DAZ 3:0 for years, I upgraded to DAZ 4.6 a year or so ago, and I Had loads of problems becoming used to it. Eventually however I managed to cope and was doing quite okay.
So now I've gone and bought a new computer, and gone to re-download DAZ 4.6, and instead, I've acquired a copy of DAZ 4.8. That's very nice of DAZ to give me that, but I can't help feeling "here we go again".
With all of these upgrades, I spend more time learning than actually doing anything and at 61 years of age, I don't have all that much time left to learn. I want to be doing.
So here I am, oploaded the program and "where's the built-in content"?
DAZ has kindly created a (my name)/Documents/DAZ3D/Studio/My LIbrary directory, but it's empty. And a search of the hard drive reveals nothing for the search term "Genesis" (Well, it does, but you aren't interested in Foxtrot or Nursery Crime).
So any hints as to where the built-in content might be.
There IS built-in content in DAZ 4.8 I hope

I wish I had my old set-up back.
Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure you still get Genesis and Genesis 2 base products with DAZ 4.8... but you have to DL them separately.

Check your Product Library for 'Genesis starter essentials', and download that.

We’ve also created a pointer page that shows various threads on Iray that have been very helpful. Rather than start new Iray pages, please check these sources first since it keeps the places to look for information simplified. These are also pages where many Iray users have been discussing Iray topics and so may be much more helpful to you. When there are dozens of threads, one forgets where they saw what and information may be posted that is very helpful but gets missed.

As for thread titles, while GRRRRR!!!! may perfectly fit your temperament at the time, it gives users little to go on so may pass your thread up. Leave the GRRRRR!!! if you wish, but then add a short description of the help you need. :)

If I understand you correctly, you are looking for the content you already bought and installed earlier?
If you installed your previous content in a directory other than the one DS "kindly" installed, you will have to tell DS where to find it.

As for the built-in content, if you are using DAZ Installation manager, it should show several "Starter Essential" packs ready for download. These have to be installed to give you Genesis and the Genesis 2 male/female.
There are also several Tutorial packs, which come with content and are worth downloading. :-)
