Installation issues?

I have been using the 4.8 Beta and now trying to load what I assume is an improved and official version of 4.8. For complex reasons I have to do this manually. I've downloaded the zips for 4.8.55 and for the "lights and shaders," unzipped them, and trying to install 4.8. It seems to be stuck however in the final fraction of the progress bar where it says "Installing Content Management Service." Any ideas why?

We’ve created a pointer page that shows various threads on Iray that have been very helpful. Rather than start new Iray pages, please check these sources first since it keeps the places to look for information simplified. These are also pages where many Iray users have been discussing Iray topics and so may be much more helpful to you. When there are dozens of threads, one forgets where they saw what and information may be posted that is very helpful but gets missed.

You might want to try in these to see if similar problems have occurred or if someone knows more about manual installation.

Is the CMS still running on your system while you are trying to install?
