how to apply a gold texture to a charactere

Hello i'm very new to DAZ
i would like to apply to genesis female a gold texture like the silver surfer ( wich is silver texture)
i have bought the

but when i add the texture to the charactere it become brown

shall i add lights ?

i 'm lost

does anyone could help step by step

These items that you have bought are Shaders, so you wont see much change in the Viewport, you need to render the item in 3Delight to see what effect the shader has.

Lighting is probably the most important aspect of any render, but you should still see the effect with the default light

In the Render Settings.
It can be selected through a deop-down menu. In the image I have marked the dropdown menu with number 4.

You also can use the Iray shader - they have a very nice gold color.
