What format are they in, presumably OBJ? Are they UV Mapped?
If so, import the items, select them in the Scene pane, then go to the Surfaces pane and apply a texture (colour or image) in the Diffuse channel. You can also supply Specular, Bump, Displacement or Normal maps as well as a few others in the Surfaces pane.
