1080p rendering format

Hi all,

I've been rendering animations in 1280 x 720 format to uncompressed avi files, always fine. Recently, I've had to render to 1920 x 1080 for a project, still uncompressed avi.

In the latter case, several post production software items have been returning 'bad format' errors with these files, unless they are relatively small ones (below 1 gig) which only sometimes return format errors. The software is good with big files in other formats.

Renders are done using 3Delight.

Has anyone else had this problem? Am I going to have to take the output file size into consideration when animating? Or, is this a known issue?

Thanks in advance,

G

Hopefully someone who does animations will come along and help, but in my experience, most animators on these forums do not render to AVI in DAZ Studio.

They create an image sequence, and then use video software to create their finished movie.
