Installing iray

I've installed Daz 4.8 and when I go into render settings there isn't an option for iray under render engines. I only have 2 for 3Delight and 2 for opengl. I've scoured the forums but haven't been able to figure out how to get iray into Daz. Is there something I need to install first?

IRay should be part of the DS4.8 install, there is nothing extra to do that I know of.

I don't have the new build installed yet, but in the Beta version, there is a folder called 'libs' which holds all the IRay stuff.

Are you sure that you have installed DS4.8, and not 4.7? Help > About DAZ Studio will tell you for sure.

You may have the 32bit version of DAZ Studio 4.8

    Yes, it's definitely 4.8

Yes I installed the 32 bit version. Does it only work on 64bit?

Well that would explain it then. Thanks everyone.

No problem. I actually do have windows 10 64bit, but I was hoping to test 4.8 out before installing it there and finding that some of my plugins no longer work after the upgrade.

Most of the plugin problems during the beta were because of the split way the beta was installed...after a reinstall/manual install most plugin problems disappeared. There was no update/upgrade to the scripting or plugin structure, at least in the change logs and per the official announcement thread.
