make sure that you are fully logged in to the store then add another random item to your cart. When you check the cart it should then show bot items and you can remove the one you don't want before checking out.

thanks. That's weird. So you can only check out if you have 2 or more items in your cart! How ridiculous!
No it is not a cookie. what happens is that you are not fully logged in to the store when you place the first item in your cart, this happens sometimes if you are logged in to the forum but the store has logged you out.
If you are not fully logged in then the software is momentarily confused as to who you are
If you check through the forum you will find umpteen threads where people get this problem and get the same fix explained to them.

What do you mean, I wasn't 'fully logged in; to the store? Surely it's a binary thing; you're either logged in, or you are not! Anyway, I was obviously logged in as the item was showing as a "1" in my cart.
It can't be that difficult to design a shopping cart that works normally without requiring something special of the user. Plenty of other sites manage it.
Anyway, how come it worked when I added a second item? I didn't do any more 'logging in' to achieve that.

It shouldn't need a fix! It should just work! I logged in and out three times FFS!

I think you are confused. You do not HAVE to be logged into the store to put items in the cart. Don't believe me? Try it. Log out and put 10 things in the cart it will show the 10 over the cart.
And no you do not need to have 2 items in the cart to purchase anything; she said to remove the one you didn't want after you added it to shake the real purchase free. Its just to shake your internet browser free once you've got the cart gummed up. it is an brower issue not a DAZ store issue it happens to me in Firefox but not Chrome.

Sounds like it may be a cookie/browser cache issue. Clear your browser cache, including cookies and see if that corrects the problem.
