Warcow only in Poser format?

I bought the warcow

http://www.daz3d.com/draconian-warcow

I found it under Poser formats. It seemed to load fine and I played with it a bit and it seems to all work ok. The thing is I don't use Poser and haven't got even half a clue about it. What I'm wondering is, is it only under Poser format?
Do I have to do something to switch it to Daz? Or can I just use it as is and render it in Daz the same way I've rendered all the Daz stuff?

The product itself is only in Poser format, and there are DS material files included (probably located with the Poser MAT, somewhere in the "Poses" section of the poser format library) . Most products released before DS 4.5 were packaged that way,
You can always resave it if you really wan it in DS format, but it should work well as is. Don't forget to apply one of the DS materials to it, it probably won't look as good with the poser mats.

DAZ Studio Users: There is no longer a separate DAZ Studio installer for these Presets. DAZ Studio will automatically apply the DAZ Studio version of the Material Presets, giving you the correct DAZ Studio look to your Draconian War Cow. Please see the ReadMe for additional information.

You should only see the DAZ Studio MATs in the Poser folder. They should have a little scroll at the top left of the icon to show that the DAZ Studio material will be loaded instead of the Poser one.

I get both, in different spots- depending on where I look.

I have to load the main one from figures - Gareee - warcow - It doesn't have a scroll (the others won't load the base one)
Then I go back to Pose - Gareee - warcow - and I find the files with the scroll.
I'm going to have to write this down.

    I'm guessing this is ok?

I'm having the same problem with Dinokonda, except I can't find any of the scroll files at all :( I bought both the first one and the plus one -

I can get something to load, but no idea what happens when I try to load one of the others, nothing seems to change

Yes, this is ok. The files in"Poses" are materials only, so you load the main item, then select it in the scene, then go to "Poses" to apply the materials.

    Thanks -
For the kinokonda, I can't find any scroll files - does that mean there aren't any? Though I can't find all the morphs and extra stuff for it either :(

Yes, the ones in Pose are settings -for materials in this case - so they don't do anything without the figure loaded. When dealing with Poser content, Figures, Props and Hair load models, Face, Hand, Materials and Pose are settings that have to be applied to something, and Cameras and Lights aren't generally worth bothering with (unless they are DS files being loaded by the Poser file - with the scroll icon on the thumbnail).

Dinokonda doesn't have any DS files - you may need to adjust the materials yourself. The Plus version should have some DS materials. The morphs appear on the head, and the easy pose controls for bending on the hip and body segments.
