I'm not sure that I understand. Exactly what would you want in place of the background? Plain white? If so, you can change the default background colour. If you are talking about creating a transparent background, I'm not sure that can be done in DAZ Studio, but others can chime in if I'm wrong.
An alpha background would look like a grid pattern. A screenshot would just make the background whatever is there. The default render settings in DS will give you an image you can save without a background if you save it as a .png.

The default render look nowhere so good as the preview. To make a real render that look as good or better than the preview takes time both to set up and run. Time which you don't have in a pressing situation when you just want to send a quick update to a customer or co-worker. Marvelous Designer also have a grid floor as background but still produces a nice clean png when you take a snapshot with F10 (it gives a choice to have background or not). It hardly sounds like rocket science on the contrary it could add a very useful function with very little work
A screenshot is of whatever you see however one can take a snapshot of "just" the Aux. View Tab if desired.
Have it "not" docked, have it the last item "touched" ... Alt + PtSc keyboard computer commands and you'll get it.
n.b. one can have the floor turned on or off ... can have background any desired coloured and use the background eraser in an image editor, saving the end result out as a .png file.
Ok we call it a snapshot then but it is obvious by now that this functionality doesn't exist, otherwise someone would have chimed in. I want to take 2-3 fast "Snapshots" posing and saving each fast to disk with a keyboard command. Perhaps for mounting together in Photoshop to demonstrate a point. Png with transparency is what I want, nothing else. (like I have today in other software as mentioned). I propose this functionality to included in the future versions of Daz Studio.

Yes I am talking of a transparent background, sorry not to be explicit.

Render with the Basic OpenGL option and set Dimension Preset to Custom.
Thank you! That was a viable option. :)
