I tried it with a Plane, and it worked well enough, but you may need to up the number of divisions in the plane for it to work properly. I forgot to mention that,
As JimmyC pointed out, DAZ Studio is really not designed to do modelling, however our friend Mcasual didn't apparently get the memo and has developed a multitude of scripts that do just that. Check them out here:

You can do it with DForm (Window > Panes (Tabs) > DForm
There are videos showing how to work this tool, I'll see if I can find you a link.
DAZ Studio is NOT a modelling package of any kind, and this would be done much more easily in a modeller like Blender or Hexagon.
