Daz Original promo image effects
I am new to Daz Studio and I was wondering whether the haze effects in the promo images for the following products are achievable by using just Daz Studio or is there postwork involved. If it is achievable in Daz Studio how is it done?

It's all done in post work in programs such as Photoshop or Gimp
There are articles which allow you to render haze and smoke effects, like Jepe's:

But the promo images you quoted look, like Frank0134 said, like postwork, probably Ron's Brushes:

Both the Reality plugin and the Iray beta for DS have Bloom F/X options built in, to help create the haze. I donlt know if those particular images used that effect but if you search "Bloom" you may find rendered examples here in the forum.
Bloom in Iray does not look like it does in those two promos, at least not in the version we have now. (That is, not in any of my testing - if you've got that method down please, please share it.) To me those both look like 3Delight renders with Uber lights and postwork for flares and smoke.
You can create haze or atmosphere with Iray, but it takes an SSS-textured primitive.
