How to fix bottom of dress. No gravity.

Hey guys,

Once the girl in the image was posed, the dress bottom stays the same as if she was standing up straight, but because she is leaning the dress of course goes out to the right of her at an angle instead of flowing down her right hip and leg. And as a additional result of this one can clearly see the poke-through of the upper left leg in relation with the dress. I was just wondering if there is a common way to fix this that I may have either over-looked or don't know about yet. I did not see any morph parameters to do this so that's why I'm asking. The description of the dress does not say it's either Conforming or Dynamic. I don't know a lot about either of those type of clothing quite yet. Help appreciated.

it's probably conforming, but it's a common practice for many skirts to have their own separate bones so you can manipulate them individually. Simply select the bottom sections of the dress and move them independently into the right spot.

Either bones or morphs - morphs seem to be more common with the Genesis figures, sadly very few people have cracked making handles (helper bones) for TriAx clothing.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking a different pose, nothing seemed to work.

    You could always try D-formers.

    This video may help explain.

Often people save the morphs for later use, but you could just use them to have the dress drape just for this image and then discard it.

Or what I often do...export it as an obj to Blender and run a cloth simulation on it...then you can import the draped skirt as a morph.

Have you tried selecting the dress and then checked if there are any extra movements under "Parameters --> Actor"?

What is the name of the dress you're using?

you betcha' Did that immediately. =) Didn't seem to be anything that would move it/morph it enough. There are some morphs, but again nothing that solved the problem.

Have you tried changing the parameter limits of the existing morph bends?

V4 content was big on using individual bones for skirts. Does it have any dress handles? In the description it lists adjustment morphs, but these tend to be simple adjustments to fit the figure rather than full movement.
