Hey guys My name is Za but just call me Z. Im currently new to all this animation and creation stuff. I have the programs and all but the only thing i need to know is how to create the characteristics of the characters like how do i create hair, clothes and weapons..... I know i have to buy all those but I would personally like to create them myself. I bought Content Creator kit (Which was a bad move because it was already part of it with the studio i installed) So please how do i make all those...... Do i use photoshop or something to create the clothes and hair or do i have to get some. Please tell me i would like to know so I can get started on my Story/Animation :D
You guys are awesome thanks for DAZ Studio :D <3</p>

This is a much bigger task than what you are probably thinking it is at this point. To create your own content you need to use a full 3D modelling program. There are several, but all of them have a fairly steep learning curve and take some real time to learn (like several years). I would suggest you start with Blender, which is a free download and a powerful full service 3D package. But be aware that none of the 3D packages are "easy" to use. In fact, the big expensive programs like Maya are probably the most complicated to use.

If you paid actual money for the Content Creation toolkit open a Sales Support ticket to request a refund; http://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us

You need an image editor of some kind for texturing, either your own models or those you buy. To create morphs or new props, hair, or clothes you need a modelling application - Blender is free so that's a good place to start but there are, if anything, more choices for modelling than for texturing.

There are actually a TON of 2D programs for texturing - there's Ormr, paint.net, Krita, etc. I have several installed. The reason I keep coming back to the GIMP and using it primarily is that it can read PhotoShop brushes, and there are a lot of good add-ons for it (G'MIC, a good normal map plugin, etc.).

Gimp works good. If you are a Mac user, Affinity designer is awesome.

Actually, now that these guys mention it, you might want to just find clothes that are already modeled and just create your own texture maps. This way you don't have to start from the ground up and maybe focus more on the superficial aesthetic side, which might be more of what you want to do anyway?
