D-former moves when spotlight position is changed

I have a scene where I used d-former on a curtain (being only for this one situation important I did not save the d-former as a general thing but only used the original). There is a spotlight close by and now when I try to change something on the Spotlight like spread anlge or position, that moves the curtain around where the d-formers are active.
Has anybody seen this happen? or maybe even know what goes wrong and has a solution for that? I use DS 4.7.

    Ok stupid me, got the problem solved, the d-former had changed parent to the spot somehow

    I end up parenting things to different things all the time...just have to be a bit more careful when manipulating them, especially in the scene tab.
