Buying Products

When you look at products you want to buy it says - Required Products - sometimes it lists one, sometimes 2 and 3 products. Do you need all of the required products or is just one good enough?

It would really depend on which product and what is required.
Sometimes a product will still function reasonably well when missing a required product other times it will break the product totally making it unusable.

Did you have a specific product in mind?

That depends...sometimes, yes, you need all the required products, sometimes just one.

Obviously, if it is a texture set for a clothing item, you need the basic item. If it's a morph or character, then maybe. If it's something like Victoria 6, some_other_female_6 then probably no, just that the item will work on those listed.

Best thing to do...if you have a specific product that you are looking at, ask here on the forums. Someone or maybe even the creator will respond with the information as to what the actual minimum requirements are.

If you want the figure to look identical to the promo's then yes you would need all of the listed requirements for this one

For this set the character Hayden was created from a base that utilised GE:Head Morphs, Stephanie 5 and Young Teens 5 Justin.
So when you dial in the character without these assets the overall shape will vary from the promo's (anything from slight to massive difference is possible) and there is a slight chance it may throw up an error of some type, if any resources that it needs are missing.

If you have already purchased the pack, I would suggest you install and load up the character and see if there are any errors from missing resources or if you feel the character needs the required products to give you the look you are after or expect from the character set.

Thank you for the advice Razor 42 and mjc1016. I'll give it a try without and see what happens.
I'll know for anything else I buy that I need all the required products. I can use the other stuff at some point anyway.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help

No you may not need all of the items listed as required, it depends on the product. Until you become more familiar with the software and its content don't be afraid ask about specific products.
