The Bryce Companion Files are for using the items in Bryce, you don't need to install the BCF zips to use the items in DS/Poser.
ok, thanks.
However for anyone having this question and problem in the future:
In order to install the product you may need to make a Bryce folder in your daz library folder if you want to install the product with DIM because if you don't DIM will not proceed further in the automatic install unless it detects a Bryce folder, or at least that was the case for me. The other alternative is manually installing the .zips as was mentioned in the quote above. My main concern was whether the product would work correctly.
You need to have a path to Bryce in the Applications settings, not a content folder. But if you uncheck Bryce in the Download Filters then you won't have to worry about it.
There are actually very few products with Bryce companion files, it was an experiment really, and TBH I don't think many Bryce Users actually ever used them as we do tend to be somewhat independent when it comes to setting up our Bryce renders.
All they contain which is used is a Bryce scene file .br5 you then need to import the main product into the scene file which will open appearing to be an empty scne with just maybe some lights.
I actually quite liked the BCF. They usually had a terrain, lights and a few additionnal items like rocks, plants, and so on/
I don't think I ever used one "as is", but I know I used part of them as a base for other images, especially the underwater scene from the tower remains.
