FBX files (chair, table, etc) from 3DS Max 2014 are invisible once imported in DAZ

edited December 1969 in New Users

If anyone knows of any tutorials for importing FBX files from 3DS max (I'm talking like tables and seats, not human models). My Fbx objects are pretty basic, I have not attached any materials to them. When I import the FBX objects into DAZ they are invisible. They are present, like I can hover over them with the mouse and they will become highlighted in yellow like everything else but are in fact invisible. Why is that?

Thanks again!

Try obj exports, FBX import in DAZ is a bit iffy to say the very least.

One thing to check: In DAZ Studio, be sure the Opacity setting in the Surfaces pane is set to 100%. I think I used to get this when I imported .objs from 3DSMAX, too--things would come in at 0% opacity. This might have something to do with how 3DSMax uses "Transparency" instead of "Opacity", and a value of 100% transparent is the opposite of 100% opaque.
