Compatibility with different versions?

I am asking about compatibility for the variety of content in the marketplace. For instance there is one set of props/scenes that I would like to get but it requires the Victoria 4 bundle.

Will that work with the Victoria 6 model or any of the other Victoria models?

The reason I ask this is because I was going through the store and picking out things I want to purchase and things I want to add to my wishlist and I noticed there are a lot of items with other content requirements.

How strict are these requirements, will they work with other models or props that aren't on the required list?

Bruce

What is in the bundle. It will be easier to answer if we know what sort of things you are looking at.

A link to the products would help

You can find a general guide to compatibility between the figures here: Compatibility Matrix

But as chohole says, it's best to list what products you're interested in, then we can give you a clearer and more specific answer.

For a clearer idea of DAZ figures, have a look at this:

    Scott Livingstone DAZ Figure History:

Most clothing made for Generation 4 (V4) can be fitted to Genesis using Autofit, and then Autofitted to Genesis 2. Or it can be done to G2F directly using this : http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female

In essence, V4, V5 and V6 are completely different figures. V4 is a stand-alone figure, V5 is a morph of Genesis (Generation 5) and V6 is a morph of Genesis 2 Female (Generation 6)

In truth it isn't a matter what bundle but more of the style. I am looking to create fantasy style characters with all sorts of medieval weapons, armor (fictional and non-fictional), and other things like facial expressions etc. I have discovered there are loads of stuff that work great with V4 and M4. I also found one thing that apparently only works with M4 and that is body morphing content that can reshape the model to make it fat or skinny or even slightly muscular.

Maybe the question I should be asking what are the best models to get with the most "fantasy" options? I am also looking for creature or monster morphs.....

Right now I am debating on the V4 and M4 starter bundles as they are only $9.99 right now.

You do have to remember that M4 and V4 are two generations back now as regards the Daz 3D figures. Genesis and V5 and M5 and Genesis 2 with M6 and V6 are the more modern technology.

The base Genesis and Genesis 2 M&F are included in DS 4+

Genesis 1 (V5 M5) or 2 (V6 M6) would be more ideal for your usage if you are looking to do creatures as well as human characters. The ability to change their shapes is leaps and bounds ahead of what you can do with Gen 4s..

Thanks all I appreciate the help so far.

Right now there are not as many fantasy morphs for the version 6 models as there are for the version 4 models. I may look into getting the version 4 models for now primarily because they are cheaper.

But I did notice the store search function does not work very well sometimes. I searched for some kind of morph earlier today and the results were totally unrelated. But 2 hours later the search worked fine.

In your opinions, what is the best way to create the typical fantasy races other than the elf (as that seems to be covered quite a bit)? I am talking about the dwarf, hobbit/halfling, and gnome. There is another race that is similar looking to a klingon but slightly different so any help in that area would be great also.

This link will take you to a great many of RawArt's characters, which would probably help:

Have a look through these, and see what you think.
