Install Manager won't connect

First, I'm new, and know next to nothing. I downloaded DAZ about 3 or 4 days ago.
Install manager won't connect, it says to check my password and try again. That doesn't help.
The Smart Content pane is empty as well, I have no idea if the two are connected or not.
I downloaded some free stuff (only from DAZ3D) one of the downloads didn't finish for some reason. I did get it to finish this morning.
The only other thing I can think of that I did with the program is I split my screen, DAZ Studio on one side and the guide on the other. As I was going through the guide I noticed Smart Content was empty. I did change Styles, but put it back, and that didn't seem to help. I clicked on lots of other stuff too, maybe I clicked on something that changed it ??? Again, no idea if this is related in any way.
I'm on Windows 8.1

    You are not alone.

    There are problems with DIM this morning, There is another thread here about it http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/55051/

    We have contacted DAZ 3D to let them know of the problems, but don't expect them to respond for a while as they are in Utah (GMT-7) so it is still very early out there.

    So the good news is "It is not something you have done" the bad news is "We don't know when it will get fixed" :coolsmile:

    Thank you. chohole I thought I messed something up. I'll stand by. Maybe the smart content is linked, I was downloading at about the same time. Don't know.

    More information. Right now we are still running about a 33% authentication failure rate. Yes, it is still being worked on but you can get in, it just may not work on the first try.

    Running Install Manager 1.1.0.28. Currently, I'm getting almost 100% fail. One time did not fail, but my new purchases from 6:30 am EST today did not show up in the Ready to Download window.

    OK good to know I just got lucky with the day I decided to install this for the first time.

    So this is a server side auth problem ?

    Yes, this is a sever-side problem as passed on by DAZ_Spooky. I'm sure the Tech people are working diligently to solve it as Install Manager is an important part of the process now.

    Just got in at the seventh attempt. However, it was pointless as the purchases I made today don't show up.
