GIS Bundle light

Hello there,

I'm really annoyed, I bought the GIS Bundle light, how ever, when I put a sky and stuff, then rendering, it's all black.

I guess I missed something, but I can't understand where is my mistake - didn't find any help on internet neither, so in case of..

Thank you,

It is an older product with a Skydome that blocks the light from the Iray Dome and needs work to allow the light through. The easiest way is to use the Diffuse image from the Skydome in the Iray Dome image map and delete the Skydome from the scene.

I see, thank you ! Is there any other kind of tool, and more recent which could help with the lightening part ?

    Thanks!

The lighting works the same it is just that the Iray Dome has taken the place of the Skydome which is geometry and made for 3Delight but they do the same thing.

  • Ok thanks, I don't know how to do that, but I'll fnd it haha.

In the scene click on the Skydome then go to the Surface tab and see what image is in the Diffuse. Open the Environment Tab and click on the Environment Map tab to open up the menu and choose the Skydome Diffuse .jpg that corresponds to the one you found. Lower the intensity, it is at 2.0 by default, to 0.5 or whatever gives the best image view, you wont see anything in the image if you don't :) You can use any HDR image as a background in the Environment Map once you delete the Skydome from the scene you don't have to use the one supplied :)

    Hello,

    Thanks, I tried, black : https://www.zupimages.net/up/21/03/kfmk.png

then I realised I didn't put the "Strengh opacity" to 0. I see something. https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=21/03/lz8u.png

However, I tried to put a very different environnment map, and put a "sunset" color in the ambiance, and result : there is no particular effect, the environment map takes the lead. I think I don't understand at all the way it works ahah : https://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=21/03/lxap.png

I definitely suck on this xD Sorry ! :) angel
