Hi, I need help building a PC that I can render complex 3d scenes in DAZ Studio 4.12 that won’t slow down my PC, the PC will also be used for general use and Photoshop. I don’t have a problem waiting for complex scenes to render in 1-2 hours as long as I can use the PC for other things while DAZ Studio is rendering in the background. Thank you

3 Recommended upgrades from me to you.

    1) Your mother board does not support ECC RAM.  You might consider a mother board upgrade in the future that supports non-buffered ECC to reach 32 GB of RAM.  You don't need this, but it's super nice.  It also can cause havoc on your main system if you mess up the install.  How ever, your CPU certainly supports non-buffered ECC, so you can keep your Intel i7-4770K for the future.  It's a very nice CPU for what it allows.

    2) You can get Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 10 Pro for cheap if you want.  Make sure to look for an OEM version off of Ebay.  DOWNLOAD THE OS IMAGE FROM MICROSOFT'S WEB SITE.  You should copy your OS install image onto a cheap 32 GB USB 3.0 drive.  You can get those for $5 easily.  Other wise, good luck on where you buy.  I suggest sticking to a vendor who has 98% reputation or higher and also 1,000 Reviews or more.  You can see that off what ever product page.  Win 8.1 Pro or Win 10 Pro might cost you $25 for an OEM license key.  You absolutely need this to render correctly.  Also, make sure your stuff is 64-bit.

    3) You need better graphics hardware.  At minimum, you should shop for a NVidia GTX 970.  You can probably find this moderately cheap, and it provides good gaming experiences if you want.  If you prefer some thing more fancy, then shoot for a higher number and some thing with a Ti on the end of it.  For instance, an NVidia GTX 1080 Ti still remains top quality.  I suggest NOT going for an Nvidia RTX series graphics card.  Your current mother board will not pump out the maximum you want from it.
