MMD Quality Figures for Gen 8?

I've always loved the Miku Miku Dance styled 3d figures, and I know there's some magyvering styled ways to convert them into Daz studio, but it would be great to see a MMD or just proper anime like figure for DAZ that works with the body morphs, clothes, and props without a lot of hassle. 

We got close with Sakura 8, and was hoping she was the stepping stone to MMD-quality (shape wise) figures for Daz, but...alas, it seems that trend came and went, since it seems like we get nothing but the usual 'doll-like' figures that get the anime-like phrasing tossed around them. 

Kind of hoping the next big 'toon' figure project will be a proper anime figure or a continuation of Sakura 8's base model, but I know that's not likely.
