Install Manager does not recognize all zips

Hello, I'm new to this software, so please be kind ^^

When downloading Freebies from different sources I wanted to install them via the IM.
So I put the zips into it's download directory and started IM.
It recognised some of them in the "Ready to Install" Tab and let me install them.

However, many zips cannot be installed, I guess because they are older (just, in case the IM was not always part of DAZ3D) or for poser.

Now I could put them into the runtime and the other directories, but this causes more problems for me:
-Sometimes they don't appear even then
-I have to use the "Content Library" which is a pain in the a* to use (compared to smart content)

Anybody could help me to convert the zips so that the IM can use it?

(And/)Or tell me a way to get stuff from the content library to the smart content tab?

Thanks in advance :)

DIM needs to read the files from your account, so cannot read files from sites other than DAZ 3D

Well, I read somewhere (renderosity?) that zips can be read when in offline mode, which worked on some zips.

EDIT: However, even if I'm wrong and there is a misunderstanding, could you help me fix the following problem?
Some stuff just doesn't appear in DAZ after putting it into the runtime directory (Neither Smart Content, nor Content Library)
Is there another step that I have to do sometimes?

    Thanks again.

I don't use the Content Management System so don't know about the Smart Content tab, but I do use the regular Content Library and have to ask whether the items you are not finding are DAZ Studio only products?

IOW, If they are products that can be used in (made for) Poser, they can be placed in the Runtime directory. If they are products made exclusive for use in DAZ Studio, they would go into their appropriate Content directory subfolders. Since I'm assuming you're using DIM to install your your purchases from the DAZ store, you have to be sure to look in the correct portion of the Content Library to find them.

Keeping that in mind, products that can be used in Poser would be in the Poser Formats list of the Content Library, but products created for DAZ Studio exclusively would only show up in the DAZ Studio Formats list of the Content Library.

    Hope that helps.
