Are you sure its not just your Viewport color set to White? I just tested in DS4.6 and all EXCEPT the auto lamp is Off.
I have never messed with this part ...Is it can you tell???? or is this the part you are speaking of??
I think you nailed it Jade. Looks like her viewport accidentally got set to white.
So I should change this foreground color???
What Jaderail means is Change Background Color. in Viewport Display Options.
Hey Trish, we must've posted around the same time. The background of your viewport is not the background of the User Interface.
I don't have DS 4.6, if that's what you're using, but in my DS 4.0, next to the dropdown list of my cameras, there's an icon with a few horizontal lines and a right-facing arrow. If you click on that, one of the options is to Change Background Color.
That will popup a color selection dialog box where you can choose what color you want for the background of your viewport.
Hope that helps.
Ok I am lost here is a screen shot ...it is 4.6 ...I can find the drop down.....wait I see it reading your post again...maybe not ...This one????
Here Trish....
The buttonn that says Select an item
Ok got it now ...Thank you soooo much Trish
Hang on a minute ...do I then have to change it back??? after I play with the lights??? here is the render.... Please don't tell me I broke something.....Here is what I mean I can't see the spot light and it is full blast...It has never done this before..This is just the plain sabertooth...before I could always see a beam of light...
Yes, once you change the Background color it stays that way. But if the FILE is saved as a PNG it will still be a transparent Alpha channel. In a JPG file the Background color will be rendered in so for JPG set it to the color you want before rendering.
ok I got it back some how by closing it and re-opening see now I can see where the spot light is.....before in the above I could not see where it was....I hope that helps ...that's why I could not figure out what I did to cause that
If you are using the Black panther as your BASE figure your now in my boat. I can not for the life of me get it to light well. But to test that theory go to Preferences and do Reset to default. Then you will need to customize again if you have do any, but you will be BACK to 100% normal.
EDIT: Ah... good. Yes if DS starts doing ODD when you change things Close and Reopen often Re-Sets the bad thing that stuck.
cool we are a-ok now Houston....The button circled in red now works again after re-setting...I am not very good at explaining things sorry about that one of these years I will learn the correct terms....Thank you Jaderail...and I hope you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS !!
