Michael 5 error message
Hello everybody,
I'm hoping someone can tell me what I did wrong here. I recently downloaded and installed via the daz download manager, the Michael 5 figure. When I try to load it, I get the message that I have attached below and the resulting image is the one you can see also attached. I have both Michael 4 and 6 and they both work as they should so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Incidentally, I was doing this because I can't seem to get the aging morphs for Genesis to show up anywhere but the content folder. This is Daz 4.6, so it's Genesis 2, not the original and the OS is MAC OSX. As I said, the download and install were through the manager. Any help would be appreciated. I haven't been using Daz very long and I am certainly not an expert at installing various bits. Thank you.

Michael 5 is a Genesis shape - do you have Genesis Starter Essentials installed?
I'm also having problems with Michael Five. I got the figure as part of a DVD that came with an animation magazine, so I can't seem to use Install Manager to install it. Is there any tutorial that explains all things figures. Richard notes that Michael 5 is a Genesis shape. What's that mean? What's the difference between a figure, shape, preset, morph, etc? I'm struggling with all this as I still get figures loading with exaggerated boobs...even the guys. I think it has to do with DieTrying morphs. Perhaps these morphs are installing in the Genesis 2 folder when they should be in the Genesis folder? Do morphs only work on certain base figures? Sorry for all the questions.
Genesis is the base that all shapes are based upon. You need to have Genesis Starter Essentials installed to get any shape to work. It can be found in you product library
Perhaps you coukd go back right to the beginning and tell us what you have installed, and how you installed it.
Michael 5 requires that the genesis starter essentials be installed.
Michael 6 is the character that depends on Genesis 2 Starter essentials.
There are 2 Starter essential files, Genesis and genesis 2. You need both.
OK, I bet that's it. Thanks you guys for responding. For some reason when I did the initial install, only the poser Genesis starter essentials downloaded and installed. I just never noticed it was the poser version. I'm re-downloading it and installing the Daz version now. Thanks again!
