Been working in a scene, seemlessly after multiple saves and resaves. I go to translate one character, and I get the bufferring style pause, the after 3 minutes the figure jumps to the spot where it was moved. I go to another character, and I can translate and rotate it seemlessly, with the action happening in realtime. Is there a setting that i unknowingly tripped? or do I need to recreate scene etc...

    Which program is this in?

If it's Studio, I'm going to guess that something the character is wearing has a heavy amount of smoothing/collisions applied to it...try disabling collisions/smoothing for the items worn. Once the character is positioned, you can turn them back on.

Man you were spot on.... I dialed up the collisions and smoothings to max!! I guess I should subscribe to a "dab will do ya!" ...lol

More often than not, the default settings for collisions and smoothing will give a pretty good result. If that doesn't work, nudge it up by one notch at a time until it looks OK. Overdoing it won't make the smoothing any better, but as you've found out, will make it slower.
