Custom character - Genesis or Victoria

I, the newbie, want to create my own character out of a Genesis figure. I’ve morphed the face and the body to what I want and have saved it as a Properties Preset (since saving it as a Character Preset didn’t seem to save the morphing).

I want to be able to re-use this character in future projects. Is the Genesis base figure a smart thing to do this with or should I consider Victoria 4.2? Are there advantages to using Victoria that as a newbie I am unaware of?

As always, thanks in advance for any replies.

The Victoria 4 figure won't work - morphs are specific to a generation and Genesis is generation 5 while Victoria 4 is of course 4. You should be able to use your preset in future. though I am a bit concerned that a character preset didn't work - is this a morph made by setting the DAZ (or other) morph sliders or is it one made by loading a modified OBJ as a morph?
