Managing Files in Scene Tab?

Is there a way to group items into folders? I don't see a "new folder" option. Perhaps this is what the arrow and check marks are for under "S"? At times I want to turn off certain items to just render a background and it can get tedious turning off each things separately. I should be able to put things into folders to shut all items in that folder on or off.

Another thing I'd like to see is when I bring in a character into a scene that has been created in another file, that character should be listed by a specific name, not simply "Genesis 2" or "3." Maybe there is a sticky somewhere to post suggestions to the Daz programmers?

Select the items that you want in the new group in the Scene tab first, then go to Create > New group. When you switch off visibility in the Group, everything in the group is hidden.

You can change the name in the Scene pane for any item yourself. When you save your original scene, change the character name to something else that you will recognise, and it will save with that name, and merge still using that name.

Thanks. That Creat>New Group worked....and really should be accessible as part of the right-click context menu.

If you RENAME the Figure (click then click) on the Genesis Name in the Scene Tab. That name stays with the saved Character on Merge into new scene. I use it all the time just for your reason.

EDIT: Rename before you save as Scene or Scene Subset works best.
