pwToon Help
I've been using Poser for a couple years now. I'm completely new to Daz Studio and I've just bought pwToon. I'm completely clueless on how to use pwToon with Daz Studio 4.6. I managed to find the pwToon Resources in the Content Library and I see Airbrushed Red, Cartoon Classic, Clean Drawing, etc...
When I click on a figure/character in the Perspective View (middle screen) and then in the Surfaces tab, I randomly click on a Material. Then I go and double-click on Cartoon Classic (for example). Nothing happens (even after rendering the image), I don't see a toon render or the words: Shader: pwToon anywhere on the Surfaces tab.
Can someone enlighten me or provide newbie steps (maybe with pictures using Daz Studio 4.6) that I can follow along to get this to work?

pwToon is a Shader. The proper way to apply a shader is to Select the Figure in the Scene Tab, then in the Surfaces tab select all the surface areas to apply the shader to. Then with All of that still selected Double click on the pwToon preset like Cartoon Classic. Then Render when finished.
Also Shaders only funtion properly in the 3DeLight render setting.
I don't mean to be an annoyance, but all of the following has been done and I even made sure the Render Settings were set to 3Delight. I can only speculate perhaps one or more of the following:
- 4.6.2.48 Pro Edition (64-bit) has bugs
- pwToon is not compatible with this new beta version
Please see the screenshots below (using the default included dragon as an example):
1) Figure selected in the Scene tab.

2) All surfaces selected in the Surfaces tab:

3) Render engine is double-checked to make sure it is 3Delight.

4) After clicking on the Render button, the dragon still is shown as a normal textured dragon, instead of a toon (Cartoon Classic) style rendering.

When did you APPLY the Shader? I do not see that step listed.
EDIT: It could be the DS Beta, Here is the Mil-SubDragon in DS4.6.1.39 with pwToon Classic applied to it. Click for Full Size.
Sorry, it was after step 2. I highlighted all of the Surfaces, then in the Content Library tab, I double-clicked on "Cartoon Classic".
If it helps, I'll list my PC specs below.
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
RAM: 8 gig
OS: Windows 7 (64-bit) Service Pack 1
Hard Drive: OCZ Solid State
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7700
Additionally, I did re-install Daz Studio 4.6 Pro Beta Public twice the other day (right before starting my first post on this thread). I'm not seeing the same results as you and it appears you're on an slightly earlier version of Daz Studio. Yea, I'm also on the beta version. The full version number is: 4.6.2.48. See screenshot below:

Your PC is more than enough, if you are double sure the Figure was selected in the Scene Tab and in the Surfaces tab when you applied the shader the only thing it can be is the DS Beta. As I posted I'm running the latest DAZ Studio Pro Full v.4.6.1.39 and the shader renders fine.
If there is indeed a bug with the beta public release, is there a download link to get an older stable release? I searched on daz3d.com and found a link for 4.5; however when clicking on that button, it keeps asking me to sign in (even though I'm already signed in) and when I log in again, it just takes me to the accounts page.
I'd like to try and install an older version and see if that fixes the problem.
You can only get the new version or the Beta version. The New full release should be in your My Products at this time. If you wish to keep older versions you must DL them Manually as the exe at the time of release and keep them. You could ask the Service Desk in a request for a older version I believe.
You don't have any surfaces selected in the Surface tab because you are in Presets instead of Editor.
