Ken "Songbird" Gilliland's ostriches say that "Compatible with Poser 6+ and DAZ Studio 3.1+", so i think Noggin's is newer?

Well for one thing IIRC ostriches are from Africa and Asia, while Emus are from Australia.

Emus are also shorter and have more feathers.
