Is there a way to move the ponytail like one of the promo images?

I noticed that the ponytail is connected with the scalp when I try to use Actors>Adjustments and use backout, the scalp moves too which is a bummer.

Select the hair in the Scene pane, then go to the Parameters pane, and you should find Fixes, Movement and Style morphs (or similar).

I don't have this hair or I would look for you.

If you go to the Scene tab and navigate to the head node of the hair you will see a couple of 'ghost bones' called PonytailUpper and PonytailLower. You can select these and then Bend and Twist them in the Parameters tab.

Expand the hair in the scene tree, you'll find two bones named PonytailUpper and PonytailLower. Use the bend/twist/side to side sliders on these to move the ponytail around. It takes some finessing, but between those and the smoothing on it, it'll do it.

    -edit- beat lol

I checked there and I see no pony tail. I'm going to try reinstall it and see.

I'd download a fresh copy as there may have been an update. Also, on my version, rcollar, and lcollar have no child bones the way yours appears to have., and there are no pectorals.

Ah now I know the reason, it's only available in Genesis 1 and not Genesis 2... well that sucks.

EDIT: I may have to edit the hair on the genesis 1, manually place on Genesis 2 and parent it. I think that's the only best option.

The hair actually loads in pretty well in place for G2F. Load in G2F and then load in the hair. Cancel the autofit dialog. Now select the hair and dial up the CapFrontFix all the way. From there just parent the hair and it should work fine.

You may need to do some test renders and tweak the value of the fix, especially if using the WidowsPeak morph. If not, around 67% of the CapFrontFix should do it.

    No problem. =D

The method should work for other hair as well, if needed. I didn't notice before that bones were changed during autofitting.
