importing Genesis to Maya

If I export Genesis to another file...whatever that would be to get it into AutoDesk files
Does the rigging stay?
I was going to use motionbuilder to edit BVH files to animate Genesis.

I would to know this as well.
Either FBX or DAE should transfer the rig over I think. I forget which one, been a while, at least it did for transfer to blender, but the rig kinda sucked. Might be better off doing a maya rig yourself.
Just using BVH files, you're going to have to do manual work, either way, to make the mocap files to work with Genesis (any model for that matter)
For what I know either FBX or DAE transfers the rigging. What you don't have is weight mapping. That is why you have to rework it after export
