will gen x transfer hazai model?

I really like the hazai models for v4 and m4, but I miss genesis flexibility. Can I transfer this figure using gen x , and how complicated is it?

well you can transfer the models without genx but it takes a bit more work. looking at the models I don't see why you couldn't gen x them. GenX isn't as complicated as doing it yourself with the transfer utility, but it still requires a little bit of reading.

oh and you do have the V4/M4 shapes for genesis right? Cause either way you will need that.

yes. I have the v4/m4 basic. I just haven't bought genx, and I'm just wondering about whether it is worth it. I can make the body using dariofish alien bodies, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the noseless face. The morphs by dariofish will almost work but there are weird facial nooks near the nose.

The toe morphs almost definitely won't transfer. The face morphs should look very good judging by my experience with the program.

SereneNight, before you make a decision, I can try it out for you if you'd like? Let me know.

oh, that is super kind of you. Only if it is not too time consuming. I am particularly interested in the face. I can do the body at least well enough with Dariofish's morphs, but the head looks funky...

I am also wondering if perhaps I should wait until gen x is upgraded to work with gen2F. I'm wondering if then it might be on sale.

Not too much trouble or time consuming at all. ;)

If you choose to wait for an upgrade, then how will you do a male version of the morph? ;)

Anyways, I'll get back to you shortly

I don't mind if hazai is gen 1, I we just wondering if gen x might be offered slightly cheaper when the gen2 morphs get released but thanks so much for seeing.

Ok, I just checked. I'll start with the bad news first.

    The Bad News:
--The Hazai textures are optimized for Poser which will require a bit of tinkering in Daz Studio in order to make them look good.

--The right eye has some transparency issues. Easily fixed if you use different eye textures or make your own (Using the DS Matt Texture instead has no such issue, however).

--Hazai Morph for Genesis has no option to transfer only the head. The while body morphs.

    The Good News:

--The Hazai Morph will transfer to Genesis

--The Hazai Product Page lists DS Matt Presets. I'll have to see if I can find them and test how good it looks. I'll get back to you on this one (see my updated post below)

--Turns out, you don't even NEED the Hazai morph for V4. You can simply buy this: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/hfs-shapes-for-genesis/97223/

--In that amazing morph package, you get the "Hazai" and for Genesis to boot (but sadly no textures with it). You'll see the morph you want in the 5th promo image.

--And if you want the "Mass Effect" Morphs then check out his freebie section (that morph pack has to be bought first in order for them to work properly though). :)

If you have Hazai already, then you can use those textures on that product I showed you already. ;)

    Best of luck SereneNight! :)

UPDATE: Turns out, the Hazai morph WILL work for Genesis (Updated my previous post to reflect this). Sadly, there is no option to morph just the head. The entire body morphs with it. Fortunately, it transfers pretty well just so long as you don't render the feet.

I checked the DS matt textures and they are there too. Hazai looks way better now when using them in Daz Studio. :)

I'll do some comparison Renders soon so you can see for yourself. I'll do V4 Hazai, Hazai for Genesis and also the morph from Rendro using Hazai textures. :)

Hey! Thanks. You are right the Navarian (I think this is the one you are referring too) from the HFS pack is a deadringer for the hazai! There are only a few differneces I can see with the nose of the hazai being slightly flatter, and the navairian's ears a bit bigger and wingier, but that works perfectly!

I don't have the female hazai, but the male works great. Hopefully will buy the female hazai in the future. I really like how the texture set renders.

Thanks so much for the help. I may buy Gen x in the future, but looks like I don't need it at present. You've saved me some money and I appreciate it! =-)

Your very welcome. As for accuracy, your right. The Navarian is more accurate. Here's some comparison renders I just did. ;)

First picture shows Hazai Genesis on the right, V4 on the left. Not bad.

Second picture shows Hazai Genesis with "Navarian" side by side. Your right about the accuracy! Good eye. *Winks* ;)

Third and fourth Pictures shows what happens to the feet and hands.

I really love Dariofish's work! I love what you did with the female hazai she looks awesome. I really like both models, but I love their rich color and the eyes look great.

One thing I do like about your genesis conversion is she is the face. But, I like the alien quality of the Navairan too. The legs in particular look good.

I'm not sure what the vein thing is on the hands, but, it doesn't render all that great on either version. More like a birth mark. It does look good on the legs.

Thanks again. Wish daz would make more aliens. I really love 'em.

I love Dariofish's work too. I have a lot of his alien morphs and each one is excellent. :)

Wouldn't take much to bring the texture into a 2D Paint program and repaint it blue. :)

And I totally agree. DAZ does need to make more aliens. ;)
