Weird Paterns on skin

Hey all, have a problem that I've been running into a lot laltely. Sometimes I've been able to fix it, sometimes I haven't. Hopeing someone can help me figure out exactly what's going on and how to stop it/fix it/prevent it in the future. On the attached picture you can see that the figure has weird checkered patterns all over her skin. Any idea what is causing this? Sometimes changing her skin makes it go away, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes changing the group id fizes it, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes deleting the skin from the computer then redownloading fixes it, sometimes it doesn't.

Yikes, that looks like a bump or normal map issue there.
What specificly are those? And what do you suggest I do to change it?
No, that's not a bump or normal map problem. I am assuming that you are rendering in 3Delight and using the AoA Subsurface Shader. This is a longstanding and oft discussed issue. There are numerous threads discussing the problem and how to fix it, I'll point you to one of those here. You need to select your character and open the Surfaces pane to make the recommended changes.
Thanks, that did the trick.
