I get those [error messages] too. I always trace them back to texture issues. Daz 4.8 was notorious for doing this to me. A new computer and 4.9 seems to have fixed the problems.. until I bought this last night: https://www.daz3d.com/stone-walls-and-grounds 5 minutes of iray spinning its wheels followed by a full program crash. Every texture, every time. Very upsetting. Now I'm running Nvidia 970 IIRC along with my i7. Running an MSI Apache Pro.

Is it the same error message (regarding a crash from ig75icd64.dll) or just a crash? It seems unlikely to be exactly the same issue so i have split this to a new thread.

  • Well, at least it wasn't deleted. Some relief.

I'm currently running some experiments to see what can be done. Good news is that I have discovered by cutting off the cpu rendering default and just going with the 970 I've been able to actually get a few renders of it done. It takes about seven minutes to start iterations. I have only babystepped it to a single prop and shader so far.

I'm wondering it these shader files are simply so big they are overloading the system. I was hoping to do some extensive repaints on some old props with these shaders. I'm gonna try it with two textures now and see wat happens.

  • Ok, that popped her! So I got access violation in ntdll.dll at 0033:000000001EA2F7DB RtlpUnWaitCriticalSection ()+747 byte(s)

I think the crash is due to the very high SubD level (12). Check out this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/74717/stone-walls-and-grounds-by-vikeike176/p1

Thanks for the info. SubD 12.. explains a lot.. Anyone know how to trim that number? Never had to do it before.
