Collars on older items warp after auto-fit

I've tried searching for a solution, but I can't find a really concrete one. D:
Anyways, large collars -and the general collar area- on older items warp whenever I auto-fit them to newer generation figures. Like, the collar will move with the head movement and it just looks weird. I included some screenshots of an example shirt, auto-fit to Karen 7, next to the original, un-auto fitted one to show what I mean.
What should I do? Or am I pretty much up the creek in this department?
Thanks!

After an Autofit I often select the polys for collars using the geometry editor (under Tool Settings tab) and then reassign them using the Weightmap editor to the Upper Chest and/or Lower Neck. There are plenty of tutorials on how to use the tools on the web, and it's a lot more straightforward than most realise (it took me over a year tyo bother trying as I've hated rigging and weightmapping for decades ;) You can then also use a DForm to distort the collar for tweaks (DForms can be parented to bones, and the Field node can be parented to the DForm base node or a bone, too. You can then save a wearable preset for the clothing and DForm node).
