Skin sheen problem

MGMOZMGMOZ Posts: 97

I've built this G3 Male character (Caspar) and, somehow, I've accidentally adjusted the"skin texture" of the head & torso as compared to the legs & arms.

I have looked through the various surface adjustments & can't find any differences in these settings between the torso & arms or legs but the skin sheen is different.

I did add a shell when I added the hair element: Shaved Head for Genesis 3 Male ( https://www.daz3d.com/shaved-hair-for-genesis-3-male-s) but have played around with those settings without any luck.

Any suggestions? I have attached a couple of pictures showing this issue.

Cheers.

I'm not sure what is causing your sheen problem, but I noticed a problem with another character which might be related, so I'm interested to know if you find a solution. In my case there is a line at the UV boundaries. DAZ3d Help Desk have been unable to reproduce the artifact and I've tried lots of processes like reinstallations of the character and DS itself but still the artifact remains on my system but apparently not on DAZ's system.

Could be angle of the camera to the light source.

There may also be more glossiness on the shader. Finding the offending part can take a little trial and error, and can also be more that one souce.

Look in the shader tab; look at Glossiness, Specular, Metalic flakes and probably a few I've forgotten.
