Hair Issue With Iray

I am trying to use an older 3delight G2 hair in iray, but the hair doesn't look to full as compared to the 3delight render. It looks as if hair is missing. Is there any way to make this hair work properly in iray? I tried converting the actual materials to iray via UHT hair product, but it doesn't do anything in regards to the missing hair.

You might try turning the Cutout Opacity up (above 1). It's a common problem for older hair models in iray to look thin with the normal settings applied.
I think UHT has a preset for doing this, but if not, you can do it the Surfaces tab. Just select all the hair's materials except for the scalp (assuming it has a separate scalp material) and set the Cutout Opacity to at least 1.5. If that doesn't look good, you can try further increasing it.
You'll have to disable limits for the Cutout Opacity by clicking the gear next to it in the Surfaces tab, selecting Parameter Settings, and clicking on Use Limits, then Accept.
