resetting the timeline?

I have a scene that I spent a lot of time setting up, now I wanted to start setting it up for an animation, but when I loaded the scene, I noticed something. Somehow I am on frame 60 with my scene, and when I scroll back through to frame 0 it see the scene set up the way it was when I started moving everything and posing in place. I really don't know why it was like that, I never folled around with the timeline at all while I was setting everything up, so it never should have selected any frames at seconds mark at all. But now I am stuck with it.
How can I take my current frame (frame 60) and use that and reset the timeline so i can have it as frame 0? I se now real options for the timeline, and i tryed changing the frame start and end numbers but it doesn't seem to work. Only thing I founf is adjusting ti to have 121 frames then start at frame 60. But I am curious if they can be reset to have any certain frames in animations to be changed to a 0 point so I can make other animations starting from a single point in other set up animations.
