Can't update DAZ Studio (solved)

Hi, everyone!
The reason for update is that my new nvidia 10-series card doesn't render scene (while cpu does it). I suppose, that's because of my old version of daz studio, it is 4.9.2.70 right now (pro edition, 64-bit). But trying to update it, i faced with troubles. If i try updating through studio itself, it writes that "no updates where found". When i download update through download manager and try to install it, the installation fails. The pic below is a part of log file from download manager. Where is the problem? Maybe, i should deinstall the older version first, or it isn't required usually?

Was DS open when trying to install the new version? It needs to be shut down.
Yeah, i tried both - same result. Maybe, this is caused by restriction policies in my OS? I guess, it worth triyng...
So, anyway, the right way to update daz studio is one through update manager?
And does nvidia 10-series cards work correctly with new version of daz studio? I mean, in terms of rendering.
Today i tried changing my local restriction policy, turning off my antivirus, i updated the driver of my 1080 and still videocard doesn't render anything and daz studio doesn't update...( Then i decided to uninstall daz install manager and install it again. While installation the process stops at the point, you can see on the pic below, and doesn't move after that... i tried few times and every time the same problem with visual c++ libraries. So now i don't have daz install manager and can't install it =D A kind of a fairytale...
I don't know what to try else... any ideas, guys? Maybe i should stop windows defender? Don't think it will help though.
I have no idea on the C++ libraries. But for Studio, we need to look at the DIM helper log - a log of the background task.
This can be found at C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\InstallManager as Hlog.txt; the tail end should indicate what process is being destoryed.

I get the feeling you aren't getting the latest version of Studio. Daz does make it a bit hard to find. I've attached 2 screen captures. The first is from The Daz 3D Home page. Click the Get Started buttin. That takes you to the second screen shot. Pick the version for your OS. For Iray you MUST use the 64 bit version. Select the Install Manager Ready version.
Your 1080 requires both Studio 4.9.3.166 AND a later Nvidia driver. If you just updated to the latest Nvidia drvier, that part is done.
This sounds like a more geernal system issue, not just a problem with DIM. Are you having any other odd behaviour?
Thank you all for your help, i appreciate it very much!

Yes, i found it, but how can it be useful, since i don't have DIM anymore?

Yes, i download it, but how can i install daz studio without DIM?
Richard Haseltine, special thanks to you for answering!
Everything seems to work fine, except "screenshot sharing" function in dropbox: it doesn't work properly while the window with daz studio is opened. When i cut down daz studio windows into lower windows bar - this dropbox function works fine. But i believe this is caused by restriction policies in my system, cause when i set it to "unrestricted" this dropbox function works fine even while a window with daz studio is opened. But changing restriction policies doesn't solve troubles with DIM installation and daz studio update.
Interesting thing: while DIM is trying to install itself (c++ libraries), i can run DIM itself, and looks like it runs fine. And during this installation process i opened Hlog.txt file, just like namffuak told. The tail end of it you can see on the pic.
By that you are using a 32 bit version of Windows, Iray won't run in 32 bit DS so nothing you do will enable your video card anyway.
I installed 64-bit version windows...
Wait... but what does mean the first raw in hlog then? And i got iray rendering running well with my cpu, but video card doesn't render...
The first line, i meant, sorry.
"Platform bits: 32" - it's about DIM, i guess, cause 64-bit DIM doesn't exist, as i understand.
It is interesting for me what does the last line means, this executing .bat file...
I am a bit confused - the log claims a 64-bit OS on a 32-bit system, and I didn't think that was possible. Ah, never mind - the platform bits and memory are an artifact of DIM being a 32-bit application. Not of interest here.
In any case, the last entry in the log is for a .bat file that installs the C++ redistributable libraries, so we're back to the C++ library hang issue. I can't find anything with google that has any relevance here.
So - I hate to ask this - have you tried re-booting the system and then running the install? The only two reasons I can think of for this hang are 1) something else is using the library and it is hanging on save, or 2) there is a permissions issue.
Which Windows version is this? DIM doesn't seem to be able to figure it out - that may be a function of the Russian locale; it shouldn't really be an issue.
Yeah, 4 GB - is a maximum for 32-bit software on a 64-bit system, no questions here.
Yes, i rebooted the system after changing restriction policies and ran the installation again - same result. Permission issue is more likely cause i'm using resriction policies, but i tried to set it to "unrestricted" mode (when there is no extra restrictions for software) - no result. Althouth, i usually got few programs in the background, perhaps they can use c++ somehow... i guess it worth trying to close all of them and try to install DIM again...
Windows 10 pro. Yeah, i don't think it's the reason too. Strange thing is that i used to install DIM for the first time somehow... Really, looks like some program, that i installed after DIM, is running in the background and is using libraries. Gonna try that tomorrow.
Thank you very much for helping, namffuak!
Sorry, I misunderstood what the log was showing.
How are you setting these policies?
Solved, guys!
I remembered, that a long time ago i also used to make few changes in group policy (so, i not only setted retriction policy). One of them was disabling command line for users. As i foun out, this action prohibited not only command line itself and .cmd files, bur also .bat files =D ... I changed it and, as a result, i got DIM installed, daz studio updated and video card rendering in iray).
Thanks for helping, again!
Glad you found it!
