Question: Where to find product textures so I can change them to suit?

OK, I tried a Forum search on "custom texture" which brought up every post with "texture" or "custom" with no way (none that I can see, anyhow) to search only on the phrase I'm after. Hundreds of hits, none of them useful, so I'm forced to ask what's probably a newbie question.
I'd like to know whether or not there's a way to change textures when they seem to be hidden away in a .duf file or whatever (?). For example, in my Daz Studio content library I have several computer monitors and video screens, only one of which (the large curved TV from elsewhere) has a screen texture that I can easily get at & change. One monitor has a blank screen, and another has a default screen that doesn't suit the scene I have in mind. Searching on the textures in Windows Explorer brings up only the icons, so I'm wondering how I can open the relevant file or files, find the texture I want to change, and change it.
I can't see this being a violation of the licensing terms, although maybe it is. Any info on the subject, especially a how-to, would be much appreciated.

OK, the fastest way I've found to work with the texture files directly is this.
Under the surfaces tab, assuming you've clicked on the relevant area for your figure, you'll see a really tiny icon which will expand when you hover over it (base color, translucency color, etc). The different color sliders usually have different files associated with them (normals use a different texture, etc.).
Anyways, clicking on the tiny icon will bring up a menu that allows you to select a different texture. Choose browse (at the top) and this should bring up the folder that the current texture is in. Then use your mouse to select that texture and drag it directly into photoshop. You can begin editing from there. Just make sure to save to a slightly different filename when you are done, so that you don't overwrite the original texture.
If you are in a different folder for some reason, escape/cancel, then hover over the tiny icon again. It should show you the path to the texture. Then you can back out of the texture folder Daz is pointing to and navigate to the proper folder.
Then go back to Daz, it'll be patiently waiting for you to select a new texture, and you should see your modified texture there if you saved to the same folder, or simply navigate to wherever you chose to save your texture..
Hope this helps!
Thanks, tj_ (if I may call you that for short
), I would never have figured that out for myself. I'm used to fiddling with game components, where all I have to do is poke around inside a mesh file, find what I want to change, and make the necessary changes, so I expected something similar in Daz Studio.
Much appreciated!
What tiny icon? I'm on the shader tab, have the shader tool selected, selected the Genesis 2 female, etc. No tiny icon that I can see.
It's not visible unless you have a specific texture selected. Check the attached image for what I mean.
