3DConnexion SpacePilot Pro problems: buttons do nothing.

I have recently aquired a SpacePilot pro and i'm trying to get used to it, I've managed to reduce the speed from the lightspeed it was moving at thankfully but I cannot get any of the buttons to work in Daz. I've tried remapping them specifically to the controlls in Daz it's self from the selection but still no dice.
Any one have any ideas?

I have a SpaceNavigator and it has become an essential tool for navigation - you can just about eliminate the yellow object highlighting entirely, but I digress. Here are some ideas:
- First, I'd make sure you've got the latest 3dconnexion drivers/software installed.
- Next, I'd check that you can see the device in DS under Edit->Devices Settings. You should see a 3D Connexion tab and it should indicate that your SpacePilot is connected. I use "Orbit Camera" mode.
- Next, I'd make sure you've got the DAZ app selected BEFORE you start making button assignments as the settings app is context sensitive - it should say DAZStudio.exe in the dialog box's title bar.
I only have two buttons on my device but this is how I have them set up (see pic).
I've been considering getting one of these, but was wondering if it was worth having for this software.
The "official" daz commands just don't seem to work. Might just assign them as keyboard shortcuts.
I have an older SpacePilot, which works with the current drivers, and I can't imagine using either Studio or Poser without it.
One can assign keyboard shortcuts to the buttons within the 3D Connexion software,(I have Ctrl-z and Crtl-y assigned to Number buttons) but I'm not aware of any keyboard shortcuts to orthographic cameras to assign to the R L T F buttons (which correpond to the QuickView Keys on the SpacePilot Pro) in Studio as I do in Poser.
Nor am I aware of a comprehensive list of Studio's keyboard shortcuts; I discovered quite by accident that one can change the view mode using the numbers on the number pad.....
Thank You! They work well in the SpacePilot button setup.
And this is what the script gives you (After reformatting)

Don't thank me, I only posted a tip that Rob passed on to us.
Well, it seems I will be looking to get one of these soon, then.

Ctrl+Up : Back View
Ctrl+Right :Left View
Ctrl+Left : Right View
Alt+Up : Top View
Alt+Down : Bottom View
These all operate on the active (highlighted) viewport.
Custom actions execute scripts. Custom actions can be bound to keyboard accelerators (shortcuts). Scripts can be written for many things in Daz Studio; it is quite robust already and it is extended to do/expose even more rather frequently. Where there is a will... chances are... there is a way. :)
