Poke thru

I am using the classic trench coat on Lucian HD and it fits fine. I sat him in a office chair and got poke thru. I made some smoothing adjustments and everything looks fine, until I render it. I even bought the new poke away, but even that didn't do anything. I mean I made the adjustments and again it looks great until I render it. I'm rendering it in Iray. Tried a different pose and the same thing. Thank God I can fix it in photoshop. But so far the only thing pokeaway has done was poke through my wallet. What good is it if it looks fine in the viewport but doesn't render properly? None of the adjustments seem to do anything once it is rendered. Attached is a photo of my screen

That looks to me as if there's displacement on the shirt, causing it to grow through the coat at render time. Check the settings for the shirt in the Surfaces pane's Editor tab. Is this Iray or 3Delight? If the latter, while you are in the surfaces pane look at top-left to see which shader is bing used - having the AoA SSS Shader applied with zero Displacement Strength but non-zero Maximum and Minimum values will produce unintended displacement.
Thank you, that eliminated most of the problem but not all of it.
What problems remain, and how are you rendering?
If you haven't already, try setting the shirt as the collision item for the coat in your smoothing settings...
Or you could just turn off the collar and shoulders on the Rt side of the shirt and that would remove the poke.
